Mabel had a professional dance career of over 25 years. She was a Principal Ballerina for Miami City Ballet and Pittsburgh Ballet. After having suffered a foot injury Mabel discovered the Lotte Berk Method and trained to become a teacher of that method. As a result of Barre, she found “a new strength“ which led to a new chapter in her dance career on Broadway. She joined the Broadway musical “Movin Out” by Twyla Tharp, performing the principal role of Judy. She then joined the Phantom of the Opera, understudying the lead role of Meg until 2014 when she gave birth to her daughter Skylar. After joining Exhale as a barre teacher and mind body manager, she continues to teach barre bringing her passion and experience of dance training to every class. Focusing on length and strength, because as the years go by we lose muscle mass and bone density, she focuses on building the class and class progressions so that the students leave her class feeling longer and stronger, with spirits bolstered from this mind/body immersion.
